The Fine Arts Center at UMass Amherst will host “Art for the Common Good: A Statewide Convening on Arts, Health, and Wellbeing” on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in the Student Union. The free event brings together artists, healthcare practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to explore the role of arts in healing and community health. Keynote speaker Jill Sonke (University of Florida) will discuss neuroarts and arts prescribing. Panels feature Massachusetts DPH Commissioner Robbie Goldstein and others. The day includes networking, art experiences, and a closing conversation with Tasha Golden on “The Healing Power of Curiosity.”
