Tucked into scenic North Amherst at 323 Montague Road, Cherry Hill Golf Course is a 9-hole public course with panoramic views of the Berkshire Hills. Built in 1963 by Dave Maxson, the course winds through wetlands, ponds, and wooded areas rich with birds and wildlife. Its well-maintained greens have made it a local favorite and one of the top-rated 9-hole courses in the Northeast.
Located near UMass Amherst and just steps from the Mill River Recreation Area, Cherry Hill offers more than just golf. Trail connections link the course to the Mill River Conservation Trails and the 42-mile Robert Frost Trail System. In winter, the course becomes a community spot for sledding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
