10-Minute Participatory Piece for 2-200 People – Bring Smartphone & Headphones
“common” is a 10-minute participatory audio experience created by John Bechtold (Creative Director of Eggtooth Productions and head of Performing Arts in Amherst Regional Schools) that will take place on the Amherst Town Common during the Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Participants will follow voice instructions on their headphones and move around the Common. Designed to mark the town’s historic centerpiece through a shared experience, the piece is appropriate for ages 12+. Free and participatory.
