The Emily Dickinson Museum will host its annual Poetry Walk on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 10:00 AM, in honor of the 140th anniversary of the poet’s death. Participants pick up a map and daisies at the Homestead (280 Main Street) between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, then walk a 40-minute self-guided route through downtown Amherst, with poem readings at sites significant to Dickinson. The walk concludes at West Cemetery at 12:00 PM for final poems and a lemonade toast. Daisies will be laid at the poet’s grave. The event is free.
Free registration is required. To register and for more information, visit the museum’s Poetry Walk page.
