The Center, an innovative dance studio in Amherst, will host a Valentine’s edition of Local Bar(re) Poets Night on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, starting at 7:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public and will take place at The Center in Amherst.
The evening will begin with poetry readings by local poets Luke Bloomfield and John Maradik. Bloomfield will share selections from his collection Russian Novels, and Maradik will read from Surprises & Pleasures. At approximately 8:30 PM, the program will transition to gentle, guided movement on the dance floor. No prior dance experience is required. Treats and beverages will be served.
