Friends of Quabbin will host a virtual and in-person program titled “Virtual Hike to Dana Common” on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. The program explores the old road to Dana Common, highlighting foundations, stone walls, fields, and trees that document the history of the Valley towns that were removed for the creation of the Quabbin Reservoir, as well as the present-day landscape.
The event will be offered in a hybrid format. In-person seating is limited to 45 participants. A Zoom link for virtual attendees will be emailed on Friday, January 30, 2026. If weather conditions prevent in-person attendance, the program will move to a fully virtual format, and all registered participants will be notified by email.
