A hands-on quilt-making workshop led by Dr. Pamela Mischen, founder of the Climate Change Quilt project, will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Powerhouse. Participants will learn basic quilt design and sewing techniques to create a quilt square expressing their message about climate change. No experience is needed. Light refreshments will be provided. Squares created will become part of a large-scale demonstration to raise awareness. The event is open to the entire community.
Registration is encouraged. To register and for more information, visit the Amherst College event page.
Pamela Mischen, Ph.D., is Binghamton University’s Chief Sustainability Officer and founder of the Climate Change Quilt Project, inspired by the AIDS Quilt.
